Heaton House Farm is a stunning wedding location situated in deepest cheshire, surrounded by 165 acres of rolling hills it was a very fitting venue for Michelle and Ians wedding held last Saturday.

Music for the ceremony was provided by the amazing vocals of Wendy Laurence James. Michelle and the bridesmaids makeup by the very talented Sandy Gilbert
During the wedding breakfast entertainment was provided by the Singing Piano Man ( including a classic Neil Diamond song that had Ian up standing on his seat dancing and singing along ! )

I have to say Kate and Paul have pulled of a remarkable feat of organisation – planning a wedding in less than 12 weeks !

Their reason was fairly straight forward, the venue for the wedding is normally booked for two years in advance so when a weekend became available they had to move fast.

We explored this amazing venue just outside Clitheroe and I’m really looking forward to the wedding, they have beautiful scenery and decaying old storage containers ! how cool is this place !!

A stroke of good luck and amazing timing for this photo session with Jess,Scott and their super cute daughters. The days leading up to the session were overcast and rainy and I expected to have a fast session or worst of all have it called off !
Delightfully the sun turned up and we had a great photo session lasting into the early evening.

Sallyanne and Ians wedding had the coolest bridal car I’ve seen in ages – VW camper van owned and restored by Sallyanne’s brother Steve. Held in the gorgeous Ironbridge this was a fantastic fun wedding. Sallyanne and Ian took every opportunity to have the most fun they could and had their own routine rehearsed for the first dance ! Epic Win !

Kathryn and Lee tied the knot at St Thomas Church, Warrington on the 8th August and I was delighted to be there for the day sharing in the fun and laughter. After a lovely church ceremony the party headed over to the gorgeous Spirit restaurant in Stockton Heath then to the Legion for the evening festivities.

Music was provided by the excellent Sebastian Whitaker singing Otis Reading, Marvin Gaye and others with the disco provided by Very Disco.

School fund raiser event photos

Michelle and Iain get married in early September. Last weekend we took the opportunity to get together for a little portrait session. Enjoy.

Glorious sunshine bathed this wedding in Warrington for Heather and Simon. They tied the knot in Warrington Christ Church with a performance from Wendy Lawrence and then later at the Rhinewood hotel. I’ve had this wedding booked for – two years ! yep thats right, two whole years. Great planning and attention to detail meant that even when the original church was condemned as unsafe a new location wasn’t the drama you’d expect. Well it wasn’t for me I can’t speak for Heather …

Make up provided by Laura Hill 07540282255 and hair by Carla 07814033278. The disco and Karaoke provided by DMD entertainment and the versatile vocals of Louisa James entertained everyone. The immense chocolate fountain was provided by Heavenly Melted Chocolate.

I‘ve photographed the lovely Debs family for a few years now and its always great to catch up and see how much the girls are growing. Previous sessions have been in the studio so this time we thought we’d head out to the park.

Our first venue was staging a race for life event so after a few hasty txt’s and a Facebook message we decided on Fletcher Moss park in Didsbury. Cue fab early morning sunshine and cute girls.

For now here are a few of my favorites from the session

I love the beach. There is something special about the sun, sand the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline as seagulls wheel over head. It was such a shame that when we arrived at Formby beach it was raining, windy and cold for Sallyanne and Ian’s engagement session. No hot sun, gentle breeze or seagulls overhead but on the plus side no-one else was on the beach !

We had decided to head over to Formby beach as Sallyanne has a theme in mind for her wedding. I’m so glad that a little light rain and a bit of a wind didn’t postpone this session.

I’m also very grateful for Sallyanne and Ians spirit in the face of less than perfect weather – walking to the beach for a few shots, running back to shelter to repeat after a short wait and to Apples Aperture which allowed me to make their images look a lot sunnier than it actually was. As Billy Connolly once said “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing”
